Technology Guidelines for Online Voice Lessons

Welcome to online voice lessons! To ensure the best experience for you, here are some friendly technology guidelines that will enhance your lessons and help you shine:

1. Internet Connection: Ensure a stable internet connection throughout your lesson. You can connect your device directly to the router via an Ethernet cable or position your device closer to the Wi-Fi router to avoid connectivity issues.

2. Download Zoom and Install All Updates: Zoom is my preferred platform for online voice lessons. It provides a reliable and user-friendly experience, allowing us to connect seamlessly. Please make sure to download Zoom and regularly update it to access all the latest features and improvements.

3. Consider Using an External Microphone: While the built-in microphone on your device will work, using an external microphone can significantly enhance the audio quality during your lessons. If you don’t have an external microphone already, I recommend the Blue Yeti USB Microphone as an affordable option.

4. Limit Background Noise: To create an optimal learning environment, try to find a quiet space for your lessons. Background noise, such as household appliances or other distractions, can interfere with your ability to focus on your vocal technique. Close windows, turn off fans, and minimize any other audible disturbances.

5. Choose a Suitable Space and Camera Angle: It's important to find a space that allows you to stand and have your entire torso visible to the camera. This way, I can observe your posture, breathing, and overall technique accurately. Make sure the camera angle is set up in a way that gives me a clear view of your upper body without any obstruction.

Remember, these guidelines are here to enhance your online voice lesson experience and help you make the most of your musical journey.
